There are 44 cards, 11 characters with 4 identical cards each.
Jaques Original Snap is one of the Pepys games that Gibsons retained when they took over the brand in 1984. The card designs are the same but the colour of the backs was changed.
When Gibsons took over the Pepys brand they continued to publish Pepys' Jaques Original Happy Families, differently boxed, and do so to this day, it is available from Gibsons online shop here. Jaques also continue to also their own game and have an online shop.
The latest versions of the four remaining Pepys games that Gibsons publish all have their thumb cuts on the rear of the box.
Jaques Original Happy Families - Purchased online direct from Gibsons in January 2023.
There is a 1984 Gibsons edition of the game without a Barcode on the box and other differences. I will add an example to this page.
There is also this version the only copy I have is sealed inside this blister pack. The game has a barcode but uses the older style Gibson's Logo. When I find an opened pack I will add details of that here too.
